Anyone have experience with IPTV in Thailand? Best service for Premier League and Champions League?
Living in Bangkok, just moved here from Manchester. Miss watching Premier League at home — the beers are cheaper but my internet is actually way faster than back home (AIS fiber 1 Gbps). Looking for a reliable IPTV that won't buffer during matches. Budget around $50/year max. Any recommendations from the expat community?

Zilio is what you're looking for mate. Been using it for 8 months in Bangkok on AIS fiber and it's absolutely rock solid. Premier League every Saturday in proper 4K — I'm watching on a 65" Samsung and it looks incredible. No buffering at all, even during Champions League nights when presumably a lot of people are watching. They send you the M3U link within minutes and support responds on WhatsApp almost instantly. $45 for the whole year is a joke value — I spent more than that watching one Matchday at the pub here. Seconding Zilio. Digital nomad, been in Thailand 14 months across Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. Works perfectly on True Move 4G and fiber — which is impressive because some IPTV services really struggle with True Move's routing. I run it on 3 devices simultaneously (TV via Firestick, MacBook, phone) without issues. The VOD library is huge too — 90,000+ titles which I use constantly on slower days. Champions League in 4K is something else when you're used to watching on dodgy streams.

Retired in Phuket, live in Rawai on the TOT connection which is notoriously average. Was skeptical but Zilio actually handles it fine for HD — I don't have 4K TV anyway. Getting BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky Sports here is genuinely brilliant. Grandkids back in Bristol watch on the same subscription simultaneously (3 connections) so effectively costs us £12/year between us. Support is 24/7 WhatsApp and they helped me set it up on my old Sony Bravia step by step. Incredible service.

Traveling Thailand for 4 months. Using Zilio from Koh Samui (DTAC 4G), Chiang Mai (True Move fiber café), and currently Bangkok Airbnb on AIS. Works everywhere I've tried it. The Firestick setup takes literally 5 minutes — I carry mine in my bag and plug it into any hotel TV. Champions League knockout stages were perfect quality from a villa in Koh Samui. For anyone traveling long-term in Thailand this is the obvious solution. $45/year for everything beats paying 200 baht per day at an expat bar.

Australian in Pattaya. Mainly wanted AFL, NRL, and UK football since my wife is from Sheffield. Zilio has all of it — Fox Sports Australia, AFL, BBC, Sky Sports, Champions League. The anti-freeze technology they use is noticeably better than the two services I tried before — zero freezing during a 90-minute match is what you need. Worth noting it also has US channels, Arabic, basically everything. The 7-day money-back meant there was zero risk trying it. Never needed to use the refund. Five stars.

📖 Does IPTV Work in Thailand? Complete Guide

Yes — IPTV works excellently in Thailand, and in many ways better than in the UK or US. Thailand has invested heavily in broadband infrastructure. Average fixed broadband speeds in Bangkok exceed 200 Mbps, and AIS, True Move, and DTAC all offer 1 Gbps fiber in major cities. Even on 4G mobile data, Thailand ranks among the fastest globally.

Internet Speeds Across Thailand — Is Your Connection Fast Enough?

The minimum for HD IPTV is 10 Mbps, and for 4K you need 25 Mbps. With Thai broadband, this is easily achievable in all cities and most resort areas:

In Bangkok, AIS and True Move fiber regularly deliver 300–900 Mbps download. Chiang Mai has excellent fiber coverage throughout the city, with most co-working spaces running 100–500 Mbps. Phuket and Pattaya have full fiber availability across tourist areas. Even the islands — Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao — have 4G coverage from AIS and DTAC sufficient for HD streaming, though 4K may occasionally dip during peak evenings.

IPTV for Travelers vs. Long-Term Expats

For short-term travelers in Thailand, Zilio's instant delivery and 3-device support makes it ideal — activate on arrival, use on your hotel TV via Firestick, laptop, and phone simultaneously. The $45/year subscription lasts your entire trip at a fraction of what you'd spend on pub sports screens.

For long-term expats and retirees, the 12-month subscription eliminates the need to pay for Thai cable TV (True Visions) or sports bar subscriptions. You get UK, Australian, US, and European channels alongside full sports coverage — all your home content, wherever in Thailand you live.

For digital nomads, Zilio works across all Thai providers (AIS, True Move, DTAC, TOT) and on mobile 4G data, making it the most flexible option for people moving between cities.

Finally — proper football in Bangkok on AIS fiber

Living in Bangkok for 2 years and finally found an IPTV that actually works here. Premier League in 4K every weekend, zero buffering on my AIS fiber. Champions League knockout stages were flawless. The anti-freeze technology is noticeably better than competitors I've tried. $45 for the year felt like a risk — paid itself back in the first month of not going to the pub to watch matches.

Digital nomad approved — works perfectly on True Move

Tried 4 different IPTV services before Zilio. This is the only one that handles True Move 4G properly without constant buffering. Works in every co-working space and Airbnb I've stayed in across Thailand. Getting UK and US content I need for work is a bonus. The 3-device support means my laptop, phone, and Firestick all work simultaneously. Best IPTV for digital nomads in Thailand by far.

Perfect for British retirees in Phuket — BBC, ITV, Sky all perfect

Retired in Phuket and this has been a complete game changer. BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky Sports, Sky News — all working perfectly including on our TOT connection in Rawai which isn't the fastest. Support helped set it up on my Samsung TV step by step via WhatsApp. My husband watches the football, I watch British soaps. Best £ we spend all month.
