☁️ How to Convert an M3U File to a URL Link

Some IPTV providers send you a downloadable .m3u file rather than a direct URL. You can still use it with TiviMate, Smarters Pro, or any app that requires a link — just host the file in the cloud and convert it to a shareable URL using the steps below. This also works for EPG (XML) guide files.

Upload the M3U file to a cloud provider
Sign in to Dropbox (or Google Drive / OneDrive) and upload your .m3u or .m3u8 playlist file. Make sure the file is set to public / anyone with the link.

Copy the share link
In Dropbox, right-click the file → Share → Copy link. The link will look something like:

Change dl=0 to dl=1
This forces Dropbox to serve the raw file as a direct download instead of showing a preview page — which is what your IPTV app needs.

Shorten the URL with TinyURL (optional but recommended)
Dropbox links can be very long. Visit tinyurl.com, paste the dl=1 link, and click Make TinyURL. You'll get a short, clean link like:

Paste the URL into your IPTV app
In TiviMate: Add Playlist → M3U Playlist → enter URL. In Smarters Pro: Add User → M3U URL. Paste your TinyURL (or the full Dropbox direct link) and your channels will load. Use the exact same method for EPG XML files — just change the extension and paste the URL into your app's EPG field.
